Monday, July 19 through Saturday, July 24, 2010 - The Friends of the Stewartstown Railroad will have an information table in the pavilion at the Eureka Fire Company/Stewartstown Carnival at the carnival grounds in Stewartstown. We will have a display and will be handing out membership applications, capital campaign flyers, and accepting donations.
     
 

WORK DAY

 

Saturday, July 24th: General Work Day. Meet at the station in Stewartstown at 9:00 a.m. Projects to be considered for the day include trackwork on the first mile from the station, brushcutting, and work equipment maintenance.

 

2010 (Exact dates TBD)

Resume work on the Stewartstown station roof and tarp Hungerford station roof pending Brian Bachman's schedule and availability of budget-price shingles.

 

Ongoing Projects for 2010 

 

Washout repair at Mann & Parker.

 

Replace switch timbers in Stewartstown yard.

 

Tie replacement on first mile of railroad from Stewartstown as funds become available for tie purchases. Ballast distribution on first mile of railroad as funds are available.
